Exfoliate:
Gently exfoliate the skin the night before to remove dead skin cells, which can help prevent ingrown hairs.
Cleanse:
On the day of your appointment, cleanse your skin with a mild, hypoallergenic cleanser to remove oils, sweat, and any other products.
Wear Loose Clothing:
Wear loose-fitting, breathable fabrics to prevent irritation and friction on the treated skin.
Avoid Sun Exposure:
Avoid direct sunlight to prevent sun damage to your skin before your appointment.
First 24 -48 Hrs. After Waxing
Avoid Heat & Friction:
No hot baths, hot showers, saunas, tanning beds, excessive exercise, tight clothing, or sex, as these can irritate freshly waxed skin and clog pores. Consider not wearing undergarments over the treated area.
Protect from Sun:
Your skin will be sensitive, so avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 24 to 48 hours.
Skip Harsh Products:
Avoid using harsh skincare products or makeup on the treated area to prevent further irritation.
Avoid Swimming:
Avoid pools and hot tubs. Chlorine and salt water can irritate the skin, and bacteria can cause infections.
Moisturize:
Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and soothe it.
Days Following Waxing:
Gentle Exfoliation:
Start gently exfoliating 2-3 days after waxing to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Use Ingrown Hair Products:
Consider using a specialized ingrown hair serum or lotion to keep skin healthy and prevent new hairs from becoming trapped.
Stay Hydrated:
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin healthy and hydrated from the inside out.
